Holiday club: every parent knows what to bring, the day before

Wednesday’s outing is on? The leader tells the 6-8 year-olds’ parents the day before, with what to bring. No more noticeboard by the door that nobody sees when dropping off in a hurry.

Free for a holiday club, with unlimited groups.

The problem

A noticeboard nobody reads

In the morning, you drop your child off at a run. The noticeboard by the door, with Wednesday’s outing and the list of things to bring, goes unseen. The note in the school bag comes out crumpled on Thursday.

So children turn up without a packed lunch on outing day, parents call the front desk, and leaders repeat the same thing twenty times.

With Ohey, the leader tells the group’s parents directly. One post, and every family concerned gets it.

How it works

In three steps

1

One channel per age group

“3-5 year-olds”, “6-8 year-olds”, “After school”: each leader posts to their own group.

2

The QR code at registration

On the registration form, at the front desk, or from the link sent to families.

3

Post the day before

Outing, times, things to bring: pin what must stay at the top until the day.

What you get

Everything you need, nothing more

📌

Pinned notices

The list of things to bring stays at the top of the channel until the outing.

🗓️

Holiday programme

The week’s programme, available any time and in families’ calendars.

🚫

No photos

On purpose: children’s image rights have no place in a news tool.

👥

Each leader, their own group

Invite your team, each posts to their channels, management stays in charge.

Frequently asked questions

You’re probably wondering…

Do parents have to give their e-mail?

No. They scan the QR code of their child’s group, with no account, e-mail or phone number.

Can we post photos of the children?

No, and that’s deliberate: Ohey doesn’t post photos. Your logo and pictograms (outing, time, weather) are enough.

Does it work for after-school care?

Yes: one channel for after-school care, one for Wednesdays, one per group in the holidays, with no limit.

How much does it cost?

Nothing for a single holiday club. A town hall or group of councils bringing several together has a dedicated plan.
